Professional Jury

All entries will be judged by a professional jury, who will determine the nominations in November. The members of the professional jury are all specialists in their field such as safety, design, carrying systems research on growth and development of children, retail and media in the pre- and post-natal market. They assess the products primarily in terms of innovation, but also in terms of user-friendliness, design and safety. The votes of the professional jury count for 60% in the determination of the category winners. Meet the judges of the Baby Innovation Award below:

Janneke Haringx

She develops original and powerful product concepts. Her specialties are textile, 3D synthetic material products, shape and form, styling, expression of communication and directions.

Frank Brouwers

Frank Brouwers

Director of European Compliance and Technical Support. Worked as a Child Safety expert at TASS International, an electrical division of TNO. Experience in the field of testing and inspecting car seats and providing advice on regulations and Conformity of Production. Owner of iBrouw.

Mariska van der kogel

Mariska van der Kogel

Chief Editor Wij Special Media, platform for young and soon-to-be parents. WSM manages a large databae which is used for reaching the target audience in a personal manner. Purchasing research is done continuously with WIJ Monitor.

Managing Director and owner of MODYN, an international design agency specialising in mobility and juvenile products. Together with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, CMF specialists and design strategists, he works for international clients on innovative, safe and stylish products that support families and make a real impact in everyday life.

Sales manager Babypark, one of the biggest baby warehouses in the Netherlands and a real family business. Since 2017 BabyDump is also part of FTH group.

Mieke Cotterink

Researcher VeiligheidNL. Within the domain of Grow up safely she contributes to a safe and healthy upgrowing of children. VeiligheidNL helps parents limit the risk of bodily harm in a positive way.

Julie Munneke

Julie Munneke-Tromp

Founder and owner of Tiny Library, a platform for renting baby and children’s products. Expert in circular economy. Renting and leasing extends the lifecycle of products and allows more families to use baby and children’s products.

Marloes

Marloes de Graaf

Owner of Liefdevol Dragen, the Netherlands’ leading babywearing school. She has also been working as a certified babywearing consultant for the past 13 years under the name Ik neem je mee. Over the years, Marloes has built extensive experience as a trainer and has established herself as an expert by delivering masterclasses for both the Dutch and international markets.
